About

I have been working in SaaS (Software as a Service) for more than twenty years as a developer and marketer. Over time the sales-driven, funnel based model of software vending has become the de facto operational model for every company in the space.

Not only is the process dehumanizing, cynical, and manipulative - it also produces garbage software and costs organizations huge amounts of time and money. Further, it seeks to maximize profit and extract money from its customers in any way possible in order to pay back and please investors and an extravagantly paid C Suite. I have none of that deadweight pulling me down.

As a consultant and tech lead in several companies in Silicon Valley over the years, I have been involved in the purchase, creation, and marketing of SaaS and seen all of these forces firsthand. I built this piece of software and my approach to customers in opposition to all of that nonsense. The demo is simple to enter and put hands on. The pricing is right out front to see.

You may or may not like this software or feel it is a good fit for your organization, but I hope you can appreciate our approach to customers and the respect this site is showing for you, your privacy, and your time.

Alternatives

The alternatives to this product include Wild Apricot, Neon, and Bloomerang. I encourage you to examine these and any other services you find and directly compare their approach, their product, and the vibe you get when you are on their sites.

Personally I think I am a lot more fun. approachable, and less seedy. If you disagree I strongly recommend you sign up for one of these services. And when you freak out and want to leave - I have a great importer built into this product which specifically has settings to pull data in from these 3 products no problem. So when you are ready, I can get you up and running in short time.

It's worth also mentioning that in the open source space, CiviCRM is a strong contender. I encourage you to try this as well if you have the chops. I think you'll find, as I did, that it costs as much to host and maintain this product as it does to pay for the others, and it comes with its own series of headaches.

Analytics

I built this product to function without collecting any analytics. There are lots of tools that do that for you and I felt no need to collect any additional data. What this means for you is - there is less data on your server and less to worry about inside the product.

Many of the competition offer the promise of user tracking and event tracking. If you would like to pursue these pieces of information, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, along with an ocean of other tools can help get you there. And you can install any of these easily. And they are going to do a better job at their free tier than any built-in analytics tool I could have hammered into this platform.

What I didn't do was add more noise to your analytics package. So yes - install all the tools you want and no - I did not give you more to worry about.
